1. Who runs ISHBiz.UK

ISHBiz.UK was created and is run by Ms. Haider. For privacy questions, contact MsHaider@ishbiz.uk.

2. Information collected

Depending on how you use the website, ISHBiz.UK may process:

• account information used for sign-in, such as email address or authentication ID;
• first name, display name, points, streaks, badges, quiz scores, saved answers, completed sections, and leaderboard choices;
• contact form details, such as name, email address, message category, and message;
• Community Sponsor application details, including contact name, business name, location, website, email, category, business description, optional telephone number, optional message, and the required confirmations;
• an aggregate website-visit count and optional star ratings, which are not linked to a student name, email address, answer, score, or account;
• technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate usage information, pages visited, and fixed navigation actions if analytics cookies are accepted;
• local browser storage used to save theme choice, sound choice, cookie choice, revision progress, and Teacher Hub cold-call class lists.

Optional analytics events do not include student names, email addresses, answers, scores, question text, or saved revision progress.

Cold Call ISHBiz Wheel class names and attendance choices are stored locally in the teacher's browser. The wheel does not send those names to ISHBiz.UK, Google Analytics, or another provider.

3. Why this information is used

Information is used to provide the revision website, save progress, show aggregate website visits and ratings, provide optional leaderboard features, respond to messages, review and respond to Community Sponsor applications, manage approved sponsorships, improve resources, keep the site secure, and understand which pages are useful.

4. Legal basis

ISHBiz.UK uses personal information where it is needed to provide requested website features, where there is a legitimate interest in running and improving the service, where consent is given for analytics cookies, or where there is a legal obligation.

5. Children and students

ISHBiz.UK is likely to be used by GCSE and sixth-form students. The website is designed to collect only what is needed for revision, progress saving, support, and optional features. Students can revise without displaying their name publicly. The Answer Coach runs locally and does not send a written answer to ISHBiz.UK or an external AI provider.

6. Sharing information

ISHBiz.UK uses trusted service providers to run the site, including Netlify for hosting, Firebase for sign-in and saved progress, Google Analytics where consent is given, and EmailJS for contact and Community Sponsor application forms. Personal information is not sold. ISHBiz.UK does not use disruptive programmatic advertising networks, and Community Sponsors do not receive student information.

7. Local ISHBiz Answer Coach

The ISHBiz Answer Coach runs entirely in the browser. A student's written answer is analysed on that device and is not sent to ISHBiz.UK, EmailJS, Google Analytics, an AI provider, or another feedback service. The coach checks visible writing features only; it does not verify factual accuracy, award or estimate marks, or replace teacher feedback.

8. Community Sponsor applications

The sponsor form collects business and representative contact details so ISHBiz.UK can assess suitability, respond to the application, issue terms and an invoice if approved, and manage any resulting sponsorship. Application information is not sold and is not shared with students or other sponsors.

Application information is normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. If an application becomes an active sponsorship, relevant correspondence, agreement and invoice information may be kept longer where needed to manage the sponsorship, accounting records, a dispute, or another legal obligation.

9. Leaderboard privacy

The leaderboard is optional. Students can choose whether their first name or display name appears, change the display name, hide the entry, or delete the entry using the leaderboard controls.

10. Retention

Progress information is kept while an account remains active or until deletion is requested. General contact messages are kept only for as long as needed to respond and manage the enquiry. Sponsor application retention is explained above. Analytics information is handled through Google Analytics settings and cookie choices. Cold-call class lists remain in the local browser until the teacher clears them or clears browser storage.

11. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information. You can also object to certain uses or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact MsHaider@ishbiz.uk.
